A graduate of History and International Relations, Olalekan Agbaje “Hurlarstringz” balanced music alongside a professional career in oil and gas before making a decisive return to music full-time in 2022.

“Hurlarstringz” Olalekan Agbaje is a versatile guitarist whose sound blends African musical roots with modern global influences. Known for his expressive playing, he moves effortlessly between live performances and studio sessions, bringing depth, creativity, and cultural richness to every musical setting.

His approach to the guitar combines groove-driven rhythms with soulful melodies, inspired by Afrobeat, highlife, jazz, soul, and contemporary styles. Through this fusion, Hurlarstringz creates music that connects tradition with innovation, delivering performances that are engaging, vibrant, and emotionally resonant.

Whether appearing at cultural events, festivals, or collaborative projects, he brings a distinctive musical voice that celebrates diversity and creativity. As his work reaches wider international audiences, Hurlarstringz continues to use the guitar as a tool for storytelling, cultural exchange, and artistic expression.

Beginning of this year, “Hurlarstringz” Olalekan Agbaje performed at the University of Law’s event in London. Also, Hurlarstringz delivered an unforgettable performance and a workshop in  Colchester, bringing joy to children and the elderly alike at this special community event hosted by CIC. His music truly connected every generation in any type of venue.
