Born in Odo-Ere, Kogi State, Nigeria, Ayo Adewunmi has taught art and design at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu since 1991. He studied art at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria, where he obtained BA degree in Industrial Design, in 1991. He holds an MFA degree in Painting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria–and is a member of The Visual Orchestral, and The Pan-African Circle of Artists (PACA), where he served as President between 1998 and 2002. Presently, Awo is a member of the International Advisory Council of PACA.
Ayo has participated in every one of our annual conferences so far, and we are delighted that he will be joining us again this year.
This year, he will present an Academic Paper entitled “Photography as an Agent of Change: The Works of Moses Adeojo and Titus Adewunmi in Central Nigeria (1950 – 1970)”.
