Valeriya Nikuta Korchagina is an artist with more than 15 years of experience in different art fields, an International Arts Fund member and an inspiring Art educator. Her fine art work explores a range of human emotions and feelings in a search of true soul depicting. In persuit of a more powerful visual influence, she is now working as a VFX artist for Film and TV at Moving Picture Company.
VFX Art
Film and TV visual effects are born on the edge where Science meets Art. At the heart of every breathtaking depiction of fantasy worlds, magic or Si-Fi imagery, unexpectedly, lies engineering, physics and mathematics. Some would say that coding and math are a form of art in themselves. The mesmerising beauty of particle or fluid simulations is recognised as Generative or Procedural art.
From behind the scenes of the filmmaking process, Valeriya shows how mathematical formulas and laws of physics are applied to create special effects in Hollywood blockbusters.
