KArtsCon2024: Jonathan Ash – Art and the Quest for Eternal Life (Sort Of)

Jonathan Ash grew up in Medway, wandered about North Wales, France, Poland, the Isle of Wight and Bristol, then returned to the local area. He has had solo exhibitions in Medway, Dartford, Soho, Gravesend and Faversham and has been commissioned many times, including large works in foyers on Rochester Esplanade and St Mary’s Island.

He regularly presents workshops to art societies, groups and businesses about being a colourblind (and late diagnosis autistic) artist. He is also a DJ and hosts the weekly radio show, “Cloudbase”

Art and the Quest for Eternal Life (Sort Of)

Artist Jonathan Ash has two superpowers; colourblindness and autism.

In this session, he will talk about how these two powers have guided his artwork, and how art has been his saviour on many occasions.

He’ll consider the impact of art throughout his life, finding his unique style, the impact of his art on others and the wonderful, unexpected and varied opportunities that have come about as a result.
