KArtsCon2023: Catherine Richardson – Creative Heritage Roundtable

Catherine studied Fashion Design at what was then the Kent Institute of Art and Design (KIAD) in Rochester. She is now Director of the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries (iCCi) at the University of Kent, based on Chatham Historic Dockyard, which is home to a diverse community of academics, art professionals, students and business leaders who believe that creativity can change the world – they are developing Docking Station with Medway Council and the Dockyard Trust. She is also Professor of Early Modern Studies, researching the history of the creative industries in Kent, London and beyond through books, articles and VR about architecture, interior design, fashion and clothing, and the beginnings of commercial theatre in the sixteenth century (including both Shakespeare and our local Kent playwright, Christopher Marlowe).

Roundtable: Creative Heritage

A panel of creatives will discuss issues around creative heritage.

Other panelists include Helen Worthy, Jeremy Clarke, Bryan Hawkins and Miriam Cooper.
